The Lab Engineer will focus on the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of test infrastructure for Amazon Prime Air's drone development and production programs. This role requires a self-starter who can troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems and ensure high availability for engineering and production teams. The engineer will collaborate across hardware, software, and production teams to maintain lab organization and safety compliance. The position also involves driving continuous improvement in test system reliability and operational efficiency.

• 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design and advanced assemblies
• Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
• Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs
• Experience with test plan development and building necessary test bench infrastructure

• Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical test infrastructure ensuring high availability for engineering and production teams
• Perform preventive maintenance and build and wire new test rigs
• Resolve hardware issues as first-line technical support
• Support lab infrastructure including network cabling, power distribution, and rack organization
• Coordinate procurement of equipment and consumables
• Maintain documentation such as SOPs and wiring diagrams
• Drive continuous improvement in test system reliability and lab operational efficiency
