Job description
The Front-End Engineer II role at Amazon Quick focuses on designing and delivering user interfaces that integrate AI interaction design with enterprise software. The team is responsible for creating innovative solutions that allow administrators to configure complex systems using natural language and visual interfaces. This position involves collaboration with UX designers and product managers to define new interaction patterns in a nascent field. The engineer will also contribute to front-end architecture and ensure high-quality code delivery.
Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end feature delivery from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release.
- Build innovative interaction patterns using React, TypeScript, and AWS Cloudscape Design System.
- Define UX for new problem spaces and collaborate with UX designers and product managers.
- Drive front-end quality with clean, well-tested code and operational ownership of features in production.
- Contribute to front-end architecture including component design and performance optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, applied scientists, and security teams.
