The engineer will also work with vendors to improve capabilities and ensure proper testing and calibration. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in mechatronics and programming, particularly in Python and C/C++.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with mechatronic system control design.
• 2 years of experience programming in Python.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience with advanced actuator driving and sensing technologies.

• Design and analyze camera actuator's control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define relevant figures of merit and assess their user impact.
• Evaluate the correlation between figures of merit and user impact.
• Propose meaningful specification limits considering assembly tolerance and metrology limitations.
• Collaborate with vendors to understand their capabilities and drive improvements.
• Conduct lab validation and troubleshooting to characterize actuator hardware performance.
• Develop new test equipment and algorithms for performance evaluation.
• Create automated frameworks for measurement and data analysis using Python and C++.
