The Entry Level Back End Developer role at IBM involves joining the innovative IBM AI on Z team, which focuses on enhancing AI capabilities on the Z platform. The team works on developing solutions that leverage IBM's Telum series of hardware accelerators and the Spyre AI accelerator for various computational tasks. Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and container technologies is necessary.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, Golang, and/or Python are required.
- Experience with industry-standard C++ compilers and development frameworks is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise-level applications utilizing AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Collaborate with IBM’s research team to create next-generation solutions for AI accelerators.
- Ensure robustness and high-quality code generation for AI solutions on the IBM Z platform.
- Provide engineering support for the AI on Z solution and implement changes for production releases.
- Establish strong relationships with customers and partners through high-quality software development.
- Contribute to the open-source community by delivering code contributions for AI development.
