Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior High-Speed IO (HSIO) Validation Engineer to lead the validation of HSIO products, including PCIe and NVLink, from development to production. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and performance optimization of HSIO subsystems. The engineer will also assist in hardware bring-up and troubleshooting complex system-level issues. This position requires a strong understanding of HSIO protocols and hands-on experience with validation processes.
Requirements
- BSEE or BSCE or equivalent experience is required.
- 6+ years of experience in HSIO validation is necessary.
- In-depth understanding of HSIO protocols such as PCI Express, Infiniband, and Ethernet is essential.
- Experience with logic and protocol analyzers and protocol exercisers is required.
- Good knowledge of lab equipment and hands-on experience with post-silicon bring-up and functional validation is needed.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in collaborating across teams and suppliers is required.
- Understanding of computing architectures is essential.
- Coding experience with scripting languages such as Python is required.
Responsibilities
- Own HSIO validation of products from start to finish, including test plan development and execution.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure HSIO subsystem compliance and performance.
- Assist in the bring-up of new hardware and resolve system and board level issues.
- Participate in reviewing board schematics and PCB layouts, providing design suggestions.
- Ensure interoperability with connected devices and system components.
- Solve complex hardware and software HSIO issues at the system level.
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing during both NPI and MP stages of production.
