Job description
The Display Engineer role at Apple focuses on the development of displays for iPhone products. This individual will collaborate with various teams, including system design, electrical engineering, and supply management, to ensure the successful delivery of display components from concept to production. The position involves hands-on characterization of display performance and working with suppliers as the primary technical contact. The engineer will also address engineering issues and ensure display goals are met during production.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
- Technical experience in optical design and characterization, display technologies, and circuits.
- Experience with optical measurement systems for characterization and validation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and LabVIEW for data acquisition.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools like JMP and MATLAB.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to define display module specifications.
- Lead a multi-functional team across various engineering disciplines.
- Perform hands-on characterization of electro-optical performance.
- Conduct data analysis and image processing for display testing.
- Review test results from display vendors and ensure performance specifications are met.
- Address engineering issues and drive them to closure efficiently.
- Ensure display goals are met for engineering builds and initial mass production.
