As a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer at Amazon, you will work alongside Senior Engineers to design, debug, validate, and optimize cloud server hardware. This role involves engaging with a cross-disciplinary team to conceive and develop innovative server products from concept through production. You will gain hands-on experience with high-volume manufacturing and support engineering builds. • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Knowledge of server hardware and components.
• Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience.
• Experience with simulation and 3D modeling software.
• Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis or automation.
• Coursework or hands-on project experience in one or more hardware engineering domains.

• Support thermal, mechanical, electrical, or reliability analysis and design of server hardware.
• Perform design simulation (thermal, structural, signal integrity, or power).
• Validate hardware and debug issues at the board, system, or rack level.
• Develop and execute test plans for hardware qualification and reliability.
• Characterize materials and components for server applications.
• Support PCB schematic and layout reviews.
• Develop automated test tools and data analysis methods.
• Travel to support engineering builds at manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, software, and manufacturing.
