The iPad hardware team in Austin, TX is seeking experienced Hardware and Signal Integrity Engineers to tackle significant challenges in hardware design and system integration. This role involves working collaboratively with various engineering teams to develop products from concept to mass production. Candidates will engage in electrical design, simulation, and validation, contributing to the overall design of iPad products.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience designing consumer electronics and/or embedded systems.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including analog and digital design.
• Deep knowledge of system-level high-speed Serdes design and analysis.
• Experience performing physical layer compliance testing of PCIe, USB, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt interfaces.
• Strong fundamentals in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory.
• Hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug, and validation.
• Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.

• Engage in electrical design, simulation, bring-up, debug, and validation for iPads.
• Provide factory build support and collaborate with multi-functional technology teams.
• Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
