The Software Development Engineer role focuses on building the future of Amazon's networking OS testing and release processes. The team is dedicated to creating tools that enhance the developer experience by leveraging AI-assisted development and fast feedback loops. You will work closely with networking OS builders to identify pain points and develop solutions that streamline their workflows. This position offers the opportunity to influence the team's vision and mentor the next generation of software engineers.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build core components of the testing ecosystem, including virtualized network device environments and AI-powered developer tooling.
• Own features end to end, from design through deployment and operation.
• Work directly with networking OS builders to understand their release pain points and develop tooling that removes friction.
• Raise the bar on quality, agility, predictability, and consistency across the developer experience.
• Mentor the next generation of software engineers and help them leverage AI in their work.
