The Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Chemist Intern position at Elanco involves working within the Animal Health Manufacturing Lab team at the Fort Dodge, Iowa manufacturing plant. The intern will focus on reducing analytical variability and implementing new lab methods while gaining exposure to various career paths and subject matter experts. This role emphasizes the importance of quality control and process improvements in the manufacturing process. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects that have site-wide impacts.

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process.
• Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn.

• Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process and document using GMP guidelines.
• Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements.
• Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or companion animal packaging.
• Study design improvement processes.
