As a Product Design Engineer for Pixel Hardware at Google, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on designing the next generation of Pixel consumer products. Your role will involve driving the design, analysis, and prototyping of innovative concepts while collaborating with various internal and external teams. You will utilize your engineering expertise to solve complex problems and ensure the successful manufacturing of parts. This position emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and effective communication within a fast-paced development environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
• 3 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.

• Design a subsystem or multiple individual parts from concept to production.
• Collaborate with suppliers of subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
• Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions.
• Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
