Job description
This entry-level applied science position focuses on conducting numerical computations to assess the structural performance of components and systems. The role involves utilizing both third-party and in-house tools to validate designs against customer requirements. Candidates will engage in problem resolution and contribute to the improvement of established engineering processes. The position also emphasizes collaboration with various engineering disciplines to deliver accurate computer models and results.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines is preferred.
- Experience in FEA automation and design optimization is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ANSYS and experimental data post-processing tools is considered an advantage.
- Candidates must be within 2 years of completing their highest level of degree from an accredited U.S. college/university.
Responsibilities
- Investigate product and system problems and recommend appropriate actions.
- Execute and improve established processes documented in engineering standard work.
- Develop specialized computational tools and methods to support design and validation processes.
- Deliver computer models and results for key structural performance parameters.
- Engage in problem resolution for moderately complex components and systems.
- Contribute to team goals and develop proficiency in critical competency areas.
