The US Leveraged Finance Fundamental Strategies Group is seeking an Associate/VP for its Desk Analyst Team in New York. This team focuses on evaluating US corporate credit trading opportunities in Bank Loans, High Yield, and Distressed Trading. Analysts will build financial models, conduct due diligence, and develop trade recommendations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in natural resources, particularly in metals and mining, chemicals, power and utilities, and energy.

• 2-5+ years of experience in credit research and/or investing, or a related field such as investment banking or private equity.
• Strong academic record with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Analyze credit opportunities and develop investment theses based on quantitative and qualitative diligence.
• Liaise with clients, investors, and internal sub-groups to achieve commercial outcomes.
• Present investment theses and risk analyses to senior leaders.
• Assist in the management of risk across corporate bonds, credit derivatives, leveraged loans, and reorg equity.
