Job description
The Geotechnical Engineering Intern will join the team in St. Louis, MO, focusing on innovative solutions for transportation infrastructure projects. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of professional engineers and senior technical staff. Interns will engage in both theoretical and practical applications of geotechnical engineering. The position emphasizes developing engineering skills in foundation design, analysis, and project management.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related degree
- At least a 3.0 GPA
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical engineering design and analysis of foundation systems, retaining structures, and slopes
- Inspect geotechnical exploratory and construction-related activities
- Develop and oversee subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs
- Collaborate with a technical team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of work assignments
