The Civil Engineering Intern (Roadway Design) position at Jacobs offers an exciting opportunity to join the Transportation team in Boise, Idaho during the Summer of 2027. This role focuses on providing innovative solutions to transportation challenges while gaining hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, applying their academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering challenges. The position emphasizes collaboration and learning in a hybrid work environment.

• Pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Completed coursework related to transportation engineering or highway design
• A valid Driver’s License
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• A minimum GPA of 3.0
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D software
• Authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participate in site visits to observe roadway conditions and data collection processes
• Assist in roadway geometric design calculations and layout
• Support the development of highway alignment and cross-section plans
