Job description
The Civil Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on delivering maritime infrastructure projects that support global commerce. Based in Philadelphia, the engineer will work with the Ports & Maritime team on projects related to port modernization and waterfront developments. This position offers the opportunity to expand technical design capabilities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The engineer will play a key role in planning, design, and execution of complex maritime infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Demonstrated experience supporting the planning, design, and delivery of transportation, civil infrastructure, or maritime projects
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and experience developing site civil engineering designs
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of waterfront, port, terminal, shipyard, or other marine infrastructure design and construction practices
- Strong understanding of design management principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to project delivery in a collaborative team environment
