As a Mechanical Engineer at Amazon Robotics, you will develop innovative hardware designs for robotic systems and enhance existing hardware to optimize performance. • BS in Mechanical, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering or a similar field
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience with an understanding of best practices for part design
• Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Thorough understanding of technical principles in hardware development
• Extensive system design experience interfacing with electro-mechanical subsystems
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
• Experience with the full product lifecycle and proficiency in completing tasks to meet milestones
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
• Proficiency with SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS Finite Element Analysis tools
