Job description
The Water South Mid Atlantic team at Arcadis is seeking dedicated and creative candidates to address water-related challenges such as quality, scarcity, and management. This role involves collaborating with experienced water professionals to develop sustainable solutions and enhance technical capabilities. The position focuses on evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water treatment and conveyance, while also supporting project management activities. The team aims to protect natural environments and water resources in the face of climate change and urbanization.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Prior work or internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit is preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and design projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and mitigation planning for sustainability and resilience projects.
- Perform site visits, water sampling, and analyze water quality.
- Support project management activities and ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality standards.
- Utilize data analytics for operational assessments and condition evaluations of water facilities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and participate in client meetings.
- Learn and manage databases, SQL server, and cloud-based computing services.
- Use digital tools to enhance customer experience and project delivery.
