The SDE II role within the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization focuses on developing innovative technology solutions that empower AI agents to operate autonomously in enterprise environments. The team is tasked with building new services for policy enforcement and human-in-the-loop workflows, while integrating with existing AWS services. This position requires a proactive approach to feature ownership, from design to production, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Candidates should be ready to tackle greenfield projects and contribute to operational excellence.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Own features end-to-end: design, implement, test, deploy, and operate in production
• Build new services for policy enforcement, session recording and replay, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows
• Integrate with AWS services and make build-vs-compose decisions with your team
• Handle customer content with care, including recording pipelines, retention, and access controls
• Collaborate with engineers on adjacent teams to unblock dependencies and align on interfaces
• Contribute to operational excellence through oncall duties, runbooks, alarms, and incident response
