The Network Development Engineer role within the AWS Internet Edge team focuses on deploying and sustaining network infrastructure that supports various Amazon services. This position involves collaborating with software and systems engineers to ensure efficient roll-out of new designs and products. The team is responsible for managing external connectivity for the global AWS network, ensuring high performance and security. Engineers will work on complex solutions to maintain capacity and improve automation in network connectivity.

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience

• Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting Amazon services.
• Deploy, scale, and automate the network across multiple global datacenters.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
• Create simple, repetitive deployment processes to increase velocity and quality.
• Work closely with internal customers on designs and solutions, bringing them from concept to production.
• Create and update network standards and ensure deployment to these standards.
• Implement changes on the network and work with automation teams to define scaling tools.
