The AWS Contract Onboarding team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to create automated audit and control systems that safeguard AWS revenue. This role emphasizes the use of GenAI and Prompt Driven Development to enhance software design and implementation. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of private pricing agreements at a global scale. The team focuses on transforming manual contract operations into reliable automation.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 2+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 3+ years of server-side development experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals

• Design and build automated audit capabilities that detect discrepancies across contract data, discounts, and billing outcomes.
• Build controls-validation systems that enforce correctness and compliance across the contract lifecycle.
• Automate manual operational flows to reduce risk, toil, and processing time.
• Own and operate distributed systems processing confidential contractual and financial data under demanding SLAs.
• Build event-driven architectures using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and DynamoDB.
• Apply GenAI and Prompt Driven Development to accelerate software design, build, and shipping.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and partner engineering teams to define scope and technical direction.
• Write high-quality, testable code in multiple languages including Java, Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript.
• Build highly available, secure systems at Amazon scale.
• Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
