Job description
The Principal Quantitative Developer role focuses on developing reliable and scalable systems that enhance investment research and decision-making. The position involves designing applications that provide quantitative insights to portfolio managers and analysts while ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate research concepts into production-ready software solutions. This role requires a strong background in quantitative analysis and experience in the financial investment domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field with five years of experience, or a Master's degree with three years of experience.
- Experience developing quantitative and analytical solutions within the financial investment or asset-management domain.
- Demonstrated expertise in validating quantitative models and developing portfolio risk analytic metrics using Python and R.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and implement systematic investment strategies including time-series forecasting and risk management frameworks.
- Translate research concepts into production-ready software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and apply emerging quantitative methodologies and analytics techniques to enhance investment capabilities.
- Assist research teams in developing new quantitative models, tools, and products.
- Communicate complex quantitative concepts and analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
