Job description
The Semiconductor Research Engineer at Intel will drive innovative design, simulation, and development activities for scientific research projects. This role focuses on advancements in device physics, materials, and process technologies to support the creation of novel devices and systems. Working within Intel's Technology Research group, the engineer will contribute to pioneering research that empowers Intel's product leadership. The position requires a strong understanding of semiconductor processing and collaboration with various engineering teams.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with hands-on experience in semiconductor processing, research, and development.
- 2+ years of experience in device physics, semiconductor process technologies, or materials science through research, coursework, or internships.
- 2+ years of experience in design of experiment and statistical analysis tools such as JMP or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with electrical characterization techniques and physical characterization methods.
Responsibilities
- Perform integrated process feasibility studies and provide process solutions and innovations for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Develop enhancements on existing process flows through the introduction of novel materials.
- Plan, design, and conduct experiments as part of a team to characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
- Identify integrated process solutions to achieve program goals while interfacing with customers and engineering teams.
- Conduct program transfers from technology research to development teams while interfacing with engineering and management counterparts.
- Leverage big data analysis to identify process design opportunities and propose data-based solutions.
