The Senior Product Data Scientist for Customer Engagement at Google plays a crucial role in providing quantitative support and strategic insights to various partners within the organization. This position involves analyzing data to help improve decision-making processes and product direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis and experience in mentoring junior team members. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and User Experience teams to enhance data-driven strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), or 5 years of work experience with a Master's degree.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, experimental design, and causal inference.

• Define, own, and refine product success metrics in collaboration with PM, UX, and Engineering.
• Apply technical expertise with observational data analysis to address critical business questions.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify and address instrumentation gaps for accurate data collection.
• Build an understanding of the data sets used by Customer Engagement and partner teams to improve data infrastructure.
• Enhance experimentation velocity and analysis turnaround time through self-service tools and improved processes.
