As a Senior Data Scientist at Elanco, you will leverage advanced analytics to drive innovation and efficiency across the company's value chain. You will work closely with various stakeholders in Strategy & Innovation, R&D, Manufacturing, Finance, and Commercial to develop predictive models and data-driven solutions that enhance animal health and business outcomes. This role requires a creative problem-solver who is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights. You will also promote a data-driven culture within the organization and continuously explore new methodologies in data science.

• A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in Data Science or relevant work.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with expertise in data manipulation and machine learning libraries.
• A deep understanding of statistical principles and experimental design, including hypothesis testing, regression, and classification.
• Proven experience applying a range of machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
• Expertise in using visualization tools to create compelling stories and the ability to explain complex topics to a non-technical audience.

• Partner to design, develop, and validate statistical and machine learning models to address key business questions.
• Lead by example and inspire others by analyzing large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• Collaborate directly with business units to translate their challenges into data science frameworks.
• Go beyond model building to interpret results, synthesize findings, and communicate actionable recommendations.
• Use data visualization and clear communication to present complex analytical findings in an understandable narrative.
• Partner with Data, AI and ML Engineers to ensure successful integration of models into business processes.
• Continuously research and apply new methodologies in machine learning, statistics, and AI.
• Promote a data-driven culture within Elanco by educating and mentoring colleagues on data science principles.
