As a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will work closely with federal government customers to address their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires you to lead architecture and design decisions while implementing end-to-end systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally to shape strategic priorities and ensure customers derive maximum value from their data. The ideal candidate will combine engineering expertise with a strong customer focus and a passion for solving complex problems.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering
• Fluency in writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks
• Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
• Deep experience with distributed computing with PySpark and Apache Spark
• Experience with CI/CD for production deployments
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs
• Experience with technical project delivery and documentation

• Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects.
• Lead architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure and scalable.
• Work with the Databricks technical team to ensure technical components meet customer needs.
• Engage with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
