The role is for experienced pre-sales professionals focused on helping large enterprises in the Retail and CPG sectors become more data-driven. Working closely with Account Executives, the position involves defining and directing the technical strategy for key accounts, emphasizing the adoption of Databricks' products and solutions. Candidates will leverage their expertise in value selling and technical account management to drive success and mentor team members. The position requires a strong understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications relevant to client needs.

• 6+ years of experience working with very large accounts in the Retail and CPG space.
• 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activities.
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
• Proven ability in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data.
• 3+ years of design and implementation experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification.

• Serve as the main technical voice for up to 9 clients.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in alignment with the overall account strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members.
