Job description
As a member of the Systems Engineering team in the FaST Division at KLA, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of optical film metrology systems from concept to deployment. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and seamless integration of complex systems. You will be part of a global team dedicated to providing industry-leading metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturers. The position requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of Systems Engineering principles with strong experience in developing complex systems in the semiconductor industry.
- Outstanding skills in optical systems, opto-mechanics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong command of general physics, math, and computational skills.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in optics, precision mechanics, image processing, and motion control systems.
- Experience in data processing, analytics, and statistics with programming languages such as Python and MATLAB is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop system architectures and characterize system performance according to requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate metrology systems, including hardware, software, and control systems.
- Define and document system specifications to meet project requirements.
- Perform detailed systems analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to qualify systems.
- Provide ongoing engineering support to ensure field systems adaptation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with Product & Program Managers to ensure project milestones are met on time.
