Job description
As a Structural Engineering Professional at Jacobs, you will be a key member of the design team, responsible for performing structural analysis and design for various projects. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and designers to develop design concepts and ensure structural requirements are accurately communicated. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design with little or no supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control by checking your own work.
- Take responsibility for managing workload and meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Identify scope changes and escalate them to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
