As a Principal Engineer at Qualcomm, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI software technologies for automotive platforms. This role involves interfacing with the Automotive Business Unit and working closely with automotive customers and internal teams. You will drive architectural decisions and ensure successful deployment of AI technologies in production automotive programs. Your expertise will influence Qualcomm's AI software stack and mentor senior engineers in the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
• 15+ years of industry experience in software engineering, embedded systems, AI/ML software, or automotive software development.
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ software development.
• Strong understanding of embedded and systems software development environments.
• Experience with automotive software platforms, including QNX, Android Automotive, Linux, or AUTOSAR-based environments.

• Serve as the primary AI Software technical lead interfacing with the Automotive Business Unit and automotive customers.
• Represent Qualcomm in customer discussions, technical deep dives, and architecture reviews related to AI software technologies.
• Lead the design, development, integration, and delivery of AI software features for Qualcomm Automotive platforms.
• Translate customer requirements into technical requirements and engineering execution plans.
• Mentor engineers across the organization and provide technical guidance for complex architecture and deployment challenges.
