Job description
The Structural Engineering Professional will be a key member of the design team, focusing on structural analysis and design for advanced manufacturing projects. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as the engineer will collaborate closely with other structural engineers and designers. Candidates should have a solid foundation in structural engineering principles and be prepared to take on leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng)
- At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience
- Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC
- Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
- Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control, checking your own work and that of others.
- Manage workload effectively, taking full ownership of assigned work and meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Embrace emerging technologies and advance workflows within the structural discipline.
