The Structural/Bridge Engineering Intern will join Jacobs' Transportation team in West Des Moines, Iowa, focusing on innovative engineering solutions for various structural systems, including bridges. Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related specialization from an accredited ABET university.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Suite.
- Experience or coursework related to the design of concrete or steel structures.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
- Perform evaluations of structures with varying degrees of complexity.
- Prepare plans, designs, calculations, and cost estimates under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Contribute to the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
