Job description

As a Structural Engineering Professional at Jacobs, you will play a key role in the design team, focusing on structural analysis and design for advanced technology industrial projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience
  • Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control by checking your own work.
  • Take responsibility for managing workload and meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
  • Embrace emerging technologies and advance workflows within the structural discipline.
