The Electrical Engineer will be a key member of Amazon Leo's Government team, focusing on the design and analysis of satellite and ground systems. This role involves delivering innovative solutions for high-speed, low-latency satellite broadband services. The engineer will lead tasks such as circuit design, analysis, and layout review while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A strong emphasis will be placed on meeting customer requirements and ensuring high-quality designs.

• 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
• Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI

• Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
• Responsible for electrical circuit design for hosting sensitive RF and communications payloads.
• Analyze designed circuits using software tools for performance and characterization.
• Identify top-level customer requirements and ensure high-quality designs are pursued.
• Facilitate cost trades on multiple configurations for cost/manufacturability versus design uncertainty.
• Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews.
• Design and support test campaigns for space hardware.
