The AWS Security team is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join the Hardware Supply Chain Security team. This role focuses on building and owning security-focused software solutions that protect AWS's hardware and global infrastructure. Candidates will work in a technology-driven environment where they will apply their expertise in software development and security engineering. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and autonomous decision-making.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Create and maintain tools for firmware analysis, security testing, and vulnerability assessment
• Design and develop security applications to protect AWS hardware and firmware
• Architect scalable, automated tools for security assessment and compliance
• Collaborate with and mentor team members while making autonomous technical decisions
