The AWS EC2 Nitro team is seeking an experienced software engineer to join their local storage core software team. This role focuses on developing features in the Instance Storage data plane to address real-world customer challenges. • 5+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
• Experience with server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with device drivers, firmware management, and understanding of IO technologies like NVMe are a big plus

• Develop features in the Instance Storage data plane and solve technical problems at a large scale
• Own the design, implementation, and operation of a massive scale storage system
• Work closely with an agile team that ships often and see the impact of your code on a wide range of customers
• Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team
