Citi is looking for a Lead Agentic AI Engineer at the Vice President level to develop and implement production-grade agentic AI systems. This role is part of Citi's technology organization and focuses on creating intelligent, multi-agent platforms that enhance business outcomes. The engineer will leverage expertise in Python, large language models, and full-stack engineering to build scalable ecosystems. The position emphasizes leadership in code quality and architectural integrity while driving impactful AI solutions.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 2+ years specifically in Generative AI.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python and LLM orchestration.

• Lead the development of custom AI platform components using Python, Java, and React.
• Code and optimize multi-tenant intelligent agents utilizing modular orchestration patterns.
• Develop and enforce clean, decoupled integration layers for agent communication.
• Write data ingestion and retrieval code for advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Act as a Forward Deployed Engineer, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts on business workflows.
