Citi is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Android engineering team for the Money Movement domain within the Citi Mobile App. This role involves establishing a Center of Excellence for Android development and driving technical strategy at a global scale. The manager will focus on delivering high-quality, scalable Android solutions while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. This position combines technical leadership with people management to impact millions of customers using the app.

• 10 or more years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Android application development using Kotlin.
• Proven ability to design scalable and reusable mobile architectures optimized for high performance.
• Hands-on experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced environments with evolving technical priorities.
• Ability to apply data and metrics to validate technical decisions and measure architectural outcomes.
• First-class leadership and communication skills to align stakeholders and resolve technical disagreements.
• Full people management experience, including hiring and performance evaluation.
• Commitment to risk-aware engineering and transparency in compliance and quality control issues.
• Experience with AI-driven development approaches in software delivery workflows.
• Background in financial services, fintech, or payments technology related to mobile money movement.
• Familiarity with driving software engineering best practices across multiple teams.

• Lead the Android engineering function for the Money Movement domain and establish a Center of Excellence.
• Architect and deliver scalable, reusable, and high-performance Android solutions in Kotlin.
• Drive AI-driven development practices across the product delivery lifecycle.
• Lead and contribute to critical-path code for large-scale Android initiatives.
• Influence technical and business strategy by identifying architectural deficiencies and driving best practices.
• Lead design reviews for the Android engineering team and engage in cross-team design reviews.
• Attract, develop, and retain senior engineering talent through mentorship and coaching.
• Build and communicate a clear engineering vision aligned with organizational goals.
