The Identity Security Distinguished Engineer at GEICO will provide strategic and technical direction for identity and access management solutions. This role is part of the Cybersecurity team, focusing on enhancing security measures and compliance while driving modernization in identity strategy. The engineer will lead a team in delivering secure IAM configurations and threat detection, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and an offensive security mindset to proactively address emerging threats.

• Extensive experience in identity products and protocols such as Active Directory, Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and OIDC.
• Deep skills in privileged access management tools and services.
• Experience in offensive and defensive security roles with a strong hacker mindset.
• Experience in a multi-platform environment including Linux, Mac, and Windows.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard security tools, frameworks, and best practices.

• Influence and educate staff at all levels to adopt a security-minded approach.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and peer security teams to solve complex problems.
• Identify opportunities to enhance security measures and streamline processes.
• Deliver automation initiatives and develop proofs of concept to improve security capabilities.
