As a Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Quick access-control team, you will focus on designing and implementing authorization policies and audit systems that ensure secure interactions between users and AI agents. This role involves collaborating with multiple partner teams to align on integration points and maintain access controls as new capabilities are developed. You will also mentor other engineers, influencing architectural decisions and enhancing the team's software practices. This position offers the opportunity to shape the industry's approach to access control for agentic AI.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and implement authorization policies and enforcement mechanisms for Amazon Quick.
• Lead the architecture of distributed access-control systems while balancing scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define service contracts and ensure access controls keep pace with new capabilities.
• Evaluate and integrate generative AI tooling into development workflows.
• Mentor and grow engineers on the team through code reviews and technical coaching.
