The Network Development Engineer role within the AWS GCNA Organization focuses on deploying and sustaining network infrastructure across various AWS services. The team collaborates with software and systems engineers to ensure efficient roll-out of new designs and products. Engineers will work on complex challenges in one of the largest networks globally, driving automation and scalability. This position emphasizes creating simple deployment processes while maintaining high standards for safety and security.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience with Unix and scripting in Perl, shell, C or C++.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture.

• Deploy network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting various AWS services.
• Deploy, scale, and automate the network across multiple global datacenters.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
• Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.
• Work closely with internal customers on designs and solutions, bringing them from concept to production.
• Create and update network standards and ensure compliance during deployment.
• Implement changes on the network and collaborate with automation teams to define scaling tools.
