Job description
Amazon is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Central Operations Process Engineering team, which focuses on process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement for the Global Customer Fulfillment Network. The role involves working with a diverse team to reduce variation, optimize standard work, and drive compliance towards established standards. The Process Engineer will prioritize efforts to improve process control and performance across multiple fulfillment centers. This position requires strong leadership and analytical skills to deliver meaningful results.
Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
Responsibilities
- Evaluate performance objectives and metrics across the site and super region to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Audit, teach, and drive execution to the benchmark standards while promoting continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement detailed standard operating procedures to support daily operations.
- Partner with operational leaders to execute implementation of established standard work and process improvements.
- Train operational leaders in the fulfillment centers to address knowledge gaps and reduce variation.
- Collaborate with support teams for reviewing critical inputs and best practice sharing.
- Measure and communicate variation reduction impacts in partnership with site leaders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver and deploy network-wide initiatives.
