The Lab Engineer II role at Amazon focuses on operating and maintaining test environments for next-generation robotics systems. This position is part of a growing System Verification and Validation team, where engineers will have the opportunity to mentor new technicians and potentially step into leadership roles. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in STEM or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical lab, robotics, electro-mechanical, or automation environment.
- Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining electro-mechanical systems or lab equipment.
- Experience completing hardware rework and repair, prototype fabrication, and/or component testing.
- Experience interpreting engineering documentation, including CAD, drawings, and test procedures.
- Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments and lab equipment.
- Perform robot repairs and hardware rework to maintain test readiness.
- Build, test, analyze, and validate robotic prototypes and subsystems.
- Deliver high-quality engineering artifacts including test reports and work instructions.
- Assess lab operations proactively and lead initiatives for process improvements.
