NVIDIA is looking for a Principal EDA R&D Engineer to lead the development of advanced Hardware Formal Verification tools. This role involves pioneering new algorithms and multi-agent AI systems to enhance formal verification processes. The engineer will work on creating intelligent orchestration layers and engines that can manage complex design challenges. The position requires a strong background in algorithm development and software engineering within the EDA domain.

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional R&D experience in building commercial or advanced academic Electronic Design Automation (EDA) hardware verification tools.
• Deep mathematical understanding of formal methods, including bounded model checking, unbounded model checking, abstract interpretation, and theorem proving.
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ with a focus on high-performance data structures and multi-threading.
• Proven experience with Agentic AI pipelines and multi-agent frameworks.

• Architect and develop new formal verification algorithms such as Model Checking and SAT/SMT solvers.
• Design and deploy multi-agent AI systems that analyze RTL topologies and tune solver parameters.
• Develop orchestration layers for autonomous AI agents to manage large builds and state-space explosion.
• Create engines for automatic generation of System Verilog Assertions from natural language specifications.
• Drive features from research through implementation in high-performance C/C++ environments.
