The Partner Solutions Engineer for Universal Commerce Protocol at Google is part of the gUP Shopping Partner Engineering team, focusing on supporting the API ecosystem for Shopping. This role involves collaborating with retail partnerships to enhance the value for merchants and users while ensuring high data quality. The engineer will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to advocate for customer and partner experiences, driving product improvements based on data-driven insights. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer-centric problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP.
• 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages like Java, C/C++, or Python.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal or external partners or customers.

• Provide high-touch technical guidance, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure seamless partner integrations within defined Service-level agreements.
• Gather operational feedback to advocate for product enhancements, bug fixes, and feature improvements with Product and Engineering teams.
• Work with Product and Partner Operations Managers to define, prioritize, and launch new features and internal tools.
• Develop technical documentation and developer tools to streamline onboarding, improve product serviceability, and scale operations.
• Perform implementation reviews and analyze partner data to identify, drive, and maximize growth opportunities using Google technologies.
