Job description

The role involves leading the development of next-generation DUV and VUV plasma sources for KLA's Broadband Plasma Division. The candidate will work within a team focused on creating advanced optical inspection systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This position emphasizes technology evaluation, product validation, and system performance predictions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex systems and a strong background in lasers and plasma technologies.

Requirements

  • PhD with 10+ years of experience, MS with 12+ years, or BS with 15+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in lasers, plasma, light generation, vacuum, high pressure, and clean hardware development.
  • Experience in developing complex opto-mechanical, laser, and thermal systems.
  • Proficiency in LabView and mechanical software such as SolidWorks, CAD, or CREO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead next-generation product development from technology evaluation to product validation.
  • Execute experiments and simulations to predict system performance.
  • Lead a team in trade-off studies for major architecture decisions on complex systems.
  • Define top-level system specifications and flow down to subsystem and component level specifications.
  • Establish system error budgets, interface definitions, calibrations, and diagnostics.
