Job description
The role involves designing and developing mechanical subsystems and components for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The team focuses on creating innovative solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of vacuum systems and precision assemblies. Candidates will work closely with various engineering teams to ensure subsystem compatibility and address technical challenges. This position is critical in supporting the development of advanced chip design technologies.
Requirements
- Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years or Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
- Demonstrated experience designing complex mechanical systems, precision assemblies, or vacuum equipment.
- Knowledge of vacuum-system design principles, vacuum-compatible materials, sealing technologies, leak testing, and contamination control.
- Proficiency with a 3D CAD platform such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, mechanical drawings, materials selection, fastening methods, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical subsystems and components, including vacuum chambers and precision structures.
- Translate system and subsystem requirements into mechanical concepts and detailed designs.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
- Perform engineering analyses and trade studies, including structural and thermal evaluations.
- Develop mechanical solutions that address contamination and reliability requirements.
- Plan and execute feasibility studies and design-verification tests.
- Provide hands-on engineering support during prototype assembly and testing.
- Investigate mechanical and reliability issues using data-driven root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with various teams to manage mechanical interfaces and ensure compatibility.
- Prepare and release engineering documentation, including technical reports and design-review materials.
