This role is focused on building and maintaining a reliable cloud infrastructure for DoorDash's logistics engine. The team is responsible for developing cloud solutions that unblock various teams across the company, ensuring a secure and cost-efficient platform. The position requires collaboration with product and platform teams to address complex cloud use cases and improve overall productivity through automation. This hybrid role is based in New York City and reports to the Engineering Manager of the Cloud Infrastructure team.

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Deep, hands-on experience with AWS and familiarity with GCP is a plus.
• Experience with cloud networking primitives like VPC and Transit Gateway.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go and Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems and create well-defined solutions.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Design and build the foundational cloud platform for engineering teams at DoorDash.
• Own the paved path for cloud solutions, making secure and cost-efficient methods accessible.
• Partner with product and platform teams to address complex cloud use cases.
• Drive cloud-wide initiatives focused on multi-cloud strategies and security posture.
• Set technical direction for the team and mentor engineers.
• Improve team productivity and operational capabilities through automation and AI tools.
• Participate in a shared support rotation.
