Job description

The Asset Wealth Management Division (AWM) Legal Associate/Analyst position offers an opportunity for motivated candidates interested in alternative investments, finance, and law. This role involves direct collaboration with attorneys in AWM Legal, supporting the AWM Private business, which includes private equity, credit, and real estate funds. Candidates will need strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple matters under deadlines. The position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Keen interest in legal frameworks and finance/private equity
  • Experience with legal entity formation and knowledge of legal entity structures is a plus
  • Prior paralegal experience is a plus; JD not required

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of legal entity creation, maintenance, and dissolution including drafting and reviewing formation and governing documents
  • Assist with the management of the global entity database
  • Field internal and external inquiries regarding AWM corporate information
  • Assist with anti-money laundering and KYC requests
  • Coordinate information across the firm for anti-trust filings and work with outside counsel on these filings
  • Respond to regulatory-related requests and review documents for compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform various other governance-related tasks as needed
