Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the future of silicon diagnostics, AI, and yield intelligence within its Yield Architecture and Engineering organization. This advanced research and development role requires a blend of deep diagnostics expertise and systems thinking, aimed at transforming unknowns into new diagnostic architectures and intelligent engineering systems. The successful candidate will work closely with teams across various functions, providing strategic technical leadership and driving AI-enabled engineering transformation. This position is based in the United States and involves collaboration with the Bangalore Diagnostics organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• 12+ years of semiconductor engineering experience, including significant work in diagnostics and yield analysis.
• Deep understanding of diagnostic concepts, methods, workflows, and infrastructure.
• Experience in architecting or scaling automation, analytics, or machine learning in complex domains.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and identify implications for diagnostics.

• Define and evolve the architecture for Qualcomm's diagnostic capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for high-volume, production-quality diagnostics.
• Explore diagnostic approaches for advanced technologies and convert uncertainty into research directions.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering transformation across diagnostics workflows.
